We went to church in Rifle, CO and then took the interstate... so driving was pretty easy.... they is until we took what I am told is “One if the most scenic roads in America”. For thise interested, it mostly looks like asphalt with a white line on either side and two yellow lines in the middle. Occasionally one must ignore those lines so as to not either - hit a large rock formation that is too close to the road or - tumble off a cliff into the Co River.
We did make a couple of stops along the way. It is an amazing change of scenery from the mountains of Colorado and the plains of Wyoming.
After 1,263 miles Judy was happy to finally get Edith off her back. She is always holding Judy back.
After finding our campsite we headed to Arches National Park. We didn’t have much time befor sunset but we did take the 3 mile (all uphill) hike to the most famous arch; delicate arch.
Today we are on to Canyonlands national park. The weather is expected to change and get colder and even some snow at higher elections. We are currently around 5.000 ft Msl.
Hope you are having a great vacation! On the news tonight there was a report about the Grand Canyon....100 years since it became a National Park, they had snow there today!
