Keweenaw peninsula

After leaving our campsite at the apostle islands, we visited a little town on the way and learned about local fishing and maritime shipping industries. From there we made our way over the porcupine mountains and to our next campground right on Lake Superior.
We did go on a small hike to a copper mine and enjoyed the area.
Today (Tuesday I think) we left for the Keneewa peninsula. We stopped in houghton to get the tires on the camper replaced (they were starting to not look so good) and visited the home of the first professional us hockey team and Michigan tech.  We got to our campsite by early afternoon and spent the day driving around listening to bossy Brad (guide along app) we learned about copper mining and the history in The area. We stopped at the Jampot for some good stuff from the monks.
The kids did some swimming in Lake Superior and caught some fish at the lake near the campground. Weather has been great.
