We had about a 2 hour drive and we arrived 45 mins early. The hike was interesting and we were able to see lots of petroglyphs.
After leaving horse thief state park we went to pick some cherries. It was a great day for cherry picking.
After leaving the cherry place (in Oregon) we went to a fish hatchery. Saw some trout, salmon and sturgeon. We also visited the nearby dam and spent some time watching fish climb the fish ladder. It was fun. Finalywe came back the Washington side of the gorge and found a campsite. Although one person really wanted to do a sunset hike, the driver and kids were pretty much shot. 1,309 miles pulling a camper and a few miles of hiking in there plus the early mornings wore me out. Side note: in Oregon you are not allowed to pump your own gas. Gas also cost about 59 cents per gallon more than Washington state.
